AB De Villiers was complimented by the South Africa President Jacob Zamu on amassing 7000 One Day international runs and being the quickest man in the game’s history to the milestone.
According to supersport, the president heaped praise on the right-hander saying that he(Zamu) and the nation were proud to have him represent them. De Villiers achieved the milestone in the first ODI against Australia at Perth which happened to be his 172nd One Day match. He averages an astonishing 51.23 in ODI cricket. President Zamu is in Brisbane for the G20 summit at the moment, he was quoted saying “Mr De Villiers has done the country immensely proud with his sterling achievements and we wish him all the best going forward,”
